La Maison des Arènes
In the heart of the historic centre of Arles between the Roman Forum and the arena, this beautiful 17th century residence fronts the Rue des Arenes, close to the school of photography and many other hôtels particuliers.
The house is spread over four levels with a total area of 250 m².
The ground level has a beautiful entrance hall with a monumental staircase, and a bedroom suite with living room and a bed for two (arranged as two singles or double) and shower room. This self-contained apartment opens onto the garden.
This elegant hôtel particulier has been restored by two renowned Parisian architects with the greatest respect for the local tradition. This refined atmosphere is complemented by a choice of furniture combining provençal tradition and contemporary design, works of art and a collection of work by young photographers.
The house has all the modern comforts with three shower rooms (there is no bath), two separate toilets, a fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher and oven, and laundry room with washing machine. This noble residence with high ceilings (4m20/13.5ft) is a privileged refuge in the heart of the city centre, a few minutes walk from all the attractions of this cutural and artistic centre: the Place du Forum, the Place de l’hôtel de ville, the Roman arena and amphitheatre, the market on Boulevard des Lices, the museums, the shops, the photographic exhibition sites and the converted workshops as well as the Luma Foundation, in a stunning new building designed by Frank Gehry.
